Our Commitment to Sustainable Tourism

To support sustainable tourism, we are fully committed to preserving the natural beauty of Mount Rinjani by applying a “leave no trace” principle in every trekking program we operate. We ensure that all waste generated during our trips is carried back down, and we strictly avoid any actions that may alter the natural environment, such as cutting wood, damaging vegetation, or removing anything from the mountain.

We understand that environmental awareness among visitors is still a challenge. Many tourists come to enjoy the beauty of Mount Rinjani, yet some leave trash along the trails, pick edelweiss flowers, or cut branches to use as walking sticks. These actions, although often unintentional, can gradually harm the fragile ecosystem of the mountain.

We believe that preserving the beauty of Rinjani cannot be the responsibility of our team alone. Therefore, during every trek, we actively remind and educate all hikers we meet to respect nature and avoid behaviors that may damage the environment.

In addition, as part of our ongoing commitment to cleanliness and conservation, we organize regular clean-up activities every few weeks. We hire local porters specifically to collect trash from the mountain and carry it down properly. To fund this initiative, we allocate 6% of every trekking package purchase directly to our clean-up program.

Through consistent action, awareness, and mutual support, we hope to contribute to a more sustainable, responsible, and environmentally friendly tourism experience on Mount Rinjani for present and future generations.
