Day 1 – Senaru Village β†’ Senaru Crater Rim (2,641 m)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  • Breakfast at accommodation in Senaru.
  • Register at Rinjani Trekking Center (RTC) Senaru (601 m).
  • Start trekking around 07:30–08:00 AM.
  • Pass plantations (coffee, bamboo, etc.) and enter the rainforest.
  • Trek 3 hours to Pos 2 Montong Satas (1,500 m) β€” see black monkeys and big trees.
  • Fruits and drinks prepared by guide and porters.
  • Continue 3 more hours to Pos 3 Mondokan Lolak (2,000 m) for lunch.
  • Final 1-hour trek to Senaru Crater Rim (2,641 m).
  • Set up camp and enjoy sunset views of Gili Islands and Mount Agung (Bali).

Day 2 – Senaru Crater Rim β†’ Segara Anak Lake β†’ Sembalun Crater Rim (2,693 m)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  • Watch sunrise over Segara Anak Lake.
  • Descend carefully (steep and slippery) for about 2 hours.
  • Explore the lake and enjoy a soak in the natural hot spring.
  • Lunch beside Gunung Baru Jari, the small active volcano.
  • Climb 3–4 hours to Sembalun Crater Rim (2,693 m) and camp overnight.

Day 3 – Summit Rinjani (3,726 m) β†’ Sembalun Village β†’ Senaru (Return)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

  • Wake up at 02:30 AM, light breakfast.
  • Start summit climb at 03:00 AM (3.5 hrs to top).
  • Enjoy sunrise over Lombok, Bali, and Sumbawa.
  • Return to camp for breakfast and short rest.
  • Descend to Sembalun Village (4–5 hrs).
  • Lunch at Pos 2 or Pos 3.
  • Transfer back to Senaru Village to collect luggage.
  • Continue transfer to Senggigi, Mataram, or Bangsal Harbor.
